  • General
    The system works by matching people with who want to ship something or go somewhere with people who can satisfy their needs. The opposite is also true. Simply enter your information and search for the other party.

    All sections have start date, end date, active checkbox, origin and destination. The active checkbox lets you disable the record from other peoples searches without deleting the record.


     
  • User Information
    The User Information that you enter will be displayed to the other users in the search results. None of the information is required. But, you need to enter enough information so you can be contacted. Your email address is important. We can email your password to you, if you forget Your email address is encrypted in the search results to help prevent email harvesting by the bad guys.


  • Record Navigation and Control
    You can have several items (records) in each sections or category. The controls at the top to the page allows you to view and maintain the records.

    "Look here for information" is just that. Information will be displayed about any operation that you perform. For example if you try to update a record and program doesn't understand the the date format that you entered it will tell you.

    The number of buttons will change depending on how many records you have. If you don't have any records only the "Add" button will be displayed.
    The Current record is the record that you are currently viewing. The Total number of records is how many records you have in this section and category. Back and Next allow you to view all of the records.

    The Search button takes you to the search page for your specific item.

    The Update button is important. Always Update your record when you are through entering information. If you don't Update the information may be lost.

    The Add button adds a record. You don't have any records to start with. You must Add a record. Add as many records as you like but don't add copies of the same record. The system looks for these and will delete duplicates.

    The Delete button permanently deletes the current record. You can't get it back.


  • Origin and Destination
    The Origin and Destination are truly global. The system uses the hierarchical administrative subdivision codes (HASC). When you select a Country the State/Province is filled in with the new data for your selection. There are over 4,000 subdivision codes.

    Here is the lookup for Countries and States/Provinces. Select the codes and the names will be displayed. Click Origin and Destination on the main menu to get back here.

    Location can also use the Global Positioning System (GPS). The Latitude and Longitude define where you are on the globe, even if there is no street address or Country. We use the decimal latitude and longitude system. The latitude and longitude are positive or negative decimal degrees.
       


    If the location is in the USA or a country with an extended database, the City drop down selector will be shown when you change the St./Prov. selector. Select your city and zip code from the selector and the City, Zip, Latitude and Longitude will be filled in. You can also click the City button to display the City selector. 



    The GPS Multimap button opens MultiMap.com to the location specified in the Longitude and Latitude. If your city isn't in our extended database or is incorrect, you can use MultiMap to find the decimal Latitude and Longitude. Contact us with any additions or corrections. The Latitude and Longitude are at the bottom of the page.
     
    The Mapquest button uses the Country, St/Prov. City, Address and Zip for the location. Spelling is important, only exact matches are found.



  • Shipments and Carriers
    Ship and Cary are divided into 4 basic categories: General, People, Vehicles and Animals. Vehicles and Animals have additional subcategories. Carriers, please state any charges in the description field in the Information section.

     
  • Travel
    Travel is slightly different. Travel can be anything from a church bake sale to a vacation cruise. Travel has categories for the types of travel .

     
  • Searches
    There are two types of searches, one for Shipments and Carriers and one for Events. The origin and destination must match along with other criteria. If you want to ship something that weights 100 pounds, only carriers that can carry 100 pounds or greater are included in the search results. The same is true for all fields. Shipments and Carriers must match the Category. For example if your shipment is horses only carriers that carry horses will be in the search results, this can be disabled.

    You can search by Address or GPS. Address search always includes the Country and State. You can select other criteria of the County, City and Zip Code. If your country doesn't use Zip Codes or that have letters in them, like Canada, you can't search the surrounding zip codes.

    Check the GPS miles checkbox to use GPS search then select the number of miles. We use a square search area and a round earth in out calculations. This isn't the most accurate method but it is very fast and accurate enough for our needs.

    You can include the Origin, destination, Type and Quantity by checking the appropriate checkbox.

    The search results have all the pertinent information about the shipment including a GPS Multimap button and Mapquest Button.



    The Travel search is slightly different. It adds Country and State. If you select State the Country will be included. County, City and Zip Code also includes the Country and State. The Travel search also allows you to include or exclude some of the criteria. For example if you want to find a cruise of the US Virgin Islands you may not want to include the Origin and the Number of Days. However, you will have to look through more data.







  • Privacy Statement
    Your privacy is very important to us. This Privacy Policy describes the principles and practices that apply to Personal Information collected from users of our service ("you") on our Site.

    Simply put:

    • We will not collect Personal Information without your knowledge and permission;
    • We will not knowingly disclose your Personal Information to third parties, except, we will disclose your Personal Information to our trusted affiliates if you check the checkbox to allow this in your user data;
    • You can change any of your Personal Information by going to the User Data tab and editing it;
    • We will take reasonable steps to protect the security of your Personal Information.
